This article is part of the research results: “Innovation strategies for the supply of tourist products that point to the improvement of the quality of life in the populations of Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta”, whose north sought to establish the social management approach a social innovation strategy with a solidarity economy approach to the development of community tourism in this community. The approach of research has been given from the Hermeneutic epistemological perspective and the participatory action research method useful in proposals for social innovation actions that allow a social transformation of the inhabitants. The preliminary results determine that social management is a way to create public value through its management, thus contributing to the reduction of poverty and inequality with social innovation processes, based on principles of solidarity, for tourism purposes.
