Evaluación de la adaptación y crecimiento de orquídeas endémicas del Pacífico colombiano en dos tipos de sustrato

This article evaluates the adaptation and growth of two endemic orchid genotypes from the Colombian Pacific in both an artisanal and a local substrate, developed by the Buenaventura Nautical Fishing Center and the Community Council of Black Communities of the Upper and Middle Dagua River basins. The goal is to standardize a production method for native orchids, specifically the species Phragmipedium longifolium, using local inputs in the Buenaventura District. The aim is to generate a source of family income for rural communities through the commercialization of a local resource under appropriate technical conditions and quality standards, while simultaneously providing a tool for the conservation and protection of native flora species.

This article examines the influence of psychosocial factors such as stress, fatigue, and work overload, among others, on traffic accidents involving uniformed personnel of the Comando Operativo de Seguridad Ciudadana (COSEC 2) of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police, during the period 2021-2022. The methodology employed allowed for the description and analysis of the characteristics of this population; data was collected through surveys, interviews, and observations, and included data collection, coding, and analysis, as well as the presentation of results. The approach employed was mixed within a descriptive research study. Various data collection techniques were used, such as surveys of COSEC 2 uniformed personnel involved in traffic accidents during 2022, and analysis of statistical data providedby the Bogotá Traffic Section, 2021-2022.

This article examines the issue of road traffic accidents in Colombia and the need to standardize the procedures of traffic and transportation authorities. Using a mixed-methods approach (documentary and quantitative), the current regulations and relevant data were analyzed to identify the main shortcomings in current processes. With the support of the Vice-Rectory of Research, an Operational Procedures Manual was developed, divided into three illustrated booklets, to facilitate the understanding and application of procedures by traffic officers throughout the country. This manual is currently being validated with institutional and external authorities.

This article examines the emotional experiences of Afro-descendant and Indigenous social and community leaders from the Zanjón de Garrapatero Afro-descendant Council and the Canoas Indigenous Reservation, who faced threats in 2020 in Santander de Quilichao, Cauca, Colombia. These leaders work to transform and protect their territories, strengthen culture, education, and ethnic inclusion in systems, and defend human rights. However, due to their actions, there has been an increase in threats to their personal safety, leading to emotional experiences that have not been previously documented. his study highlights the need for further analysis and visibility of this situation in order to develop differentiated responses to the findings.

This article examines the impact of using mobile devices as dynamic tools to enhance textual production and critical, proactive reading in 8th-grade students at Josefa Campos Educational Institution in Bello, Antioquia, Colombia. The study was designed based on Action Research, througha characterization of the working group and the implementation of a pedagogical and didactic intervention that fostered the development of skills for the elaboration and editing of expository reports, as a form of text. The results indicate that the use of mobile devices as didactic tools could favor the development of reading and writing skills, as they offer elements for the appropriation of the semantic structure of the text, the characteristics of the paragraphs that compose it, and the expansion of the vocabulary used by students.

This article documents the experience of implementing a management style known as “Quality Management” at the SENA-Tolima Regional Center between 2005 and 2016. The implementation is analyzed within the context of resilience theory, management quality, and organizational quality, all associated with the attribute of good institutional management practices (GIMP) known as strategic leadership by example (SLeE). SLeE is a principle that encompasses the qualities of seizing improvement opportunities, quality facts, meeting minimum requirements, and fostering a quality culture from the individual to the collective level. A descriptive method was chosen to illustrate the implementation process, which aimed to foster institutional commitment to the quality management system, its certification, and continuous improvement.

Aprendiendo juntos: acompañamiento técnico-pedagógico en el Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA)

The formulation of the strategy “Learning together: technical-pedagogical support in the National Learning Service (SENA)” is presented, developed between March and October 2020, qualitative,- descriptive research, after a mapping diagnosis with the 108 training centers belonging to 31 regions. A mapping with 26 open questions using Google Forms was used as a data collection technique, the results of which are consolidated in the reports of the 31 regions. Subsequently, the support strategy is formulated with the participation of trainers from different regions and with the results of the study. The name Learning together contextualizes the construction of knowledge by building learning communities, thus allowing the technical and pedagogical skills of the instructors to be strengthened.

This article describes a proposal for good practices in management systems for the Colegio María Reina (Colmare) school in Cúcuta. The inductive method was applied, which analyzes, from the particular to the general, the events observed in the school’s management systems and extrapolates them to the technical and regulatory reality in Colombia and the world. As a particular method, a case study was used to collect, classify, organize, and synthesize information about Colmare’s organizational culture. For this case, a business diagnosis of the educational institution was initiated in relation to the ISO 9001:2015 standard and Decree 1072 of 2015 on Occupational Health and Safety, and it was complemented by applying a survey to identify good practices, in order to consolidate, in a guide, those that guarantee the optimal functioning of management systems for any educational institution.
