Construction block cutting automation

Abstract

This article presents a proposal to automate the cutting of structural blocks, since the productivity and quality of its products are very important factors in manufacturing and marketing. To characterize the process, a technical visit is made to a company dedicated to this work, where it is possible to show that it is necessary to improve the task of cutting, since the way in which it is currently carried out reduces the efficiency of the process. Based on this analysis and taking into account the observations of the owner and the operators, an automation proposal based on an electromechanical system governed by a siemens logo 8 programmable relay is prepared, said solution consists of a scale prototype and a guide document with the requirements for full-scale implementation.
