Abstract
The objective of this research was to determine which fertilization route, edaphic or pseudostem (topiban), showed the best results in terms of growth stimulation in flooded areas. In the early development stages of the plantain seedlings where two T1 treatments were evaluated: Topiban T2: Edafica, with the same fertilization dose of 70 gr every 20 days, the independent variables to be evaluated were plant height, stem diameter, and plant leaf emission, recording data with intervals of 10-14 days. the results obtained in the applied treatments showed differences in terms of growth rate and diameter of the pseudostem, the treatment with the best response being T1 for both variables, in terms of leaf emission, the slopes of the curve do not exceed 0.1 of difference between them for which is possible that there is no effect.
