Abstract

The article presented below is aimed at constructing the history of the Document Management Training Program and thereby showing its development and importance in the Colombian archival sector, with the aim of understanding its impact on the transformation of document management in Colombia. This objective is intended to be met by carrying out applied and mixed research, with a descriptive scope and a qualitative approach. The population under study includes graduates and actors in the sector, using for the former (graduates) information sent by the graduates area in its latest report, 2023 - 2024 for them a survey is used, where 195 graduates participated, with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5%. In the case of direct actors, interviews were conducted with Coordinators in their different terms, the qualified master record document with 2018 data was also
consulted, for the remaining years the figures from the OLO: Occupational Labor Observatory are consulted, on the other hand, it can be seen that there are no records and information that account for the history of the program, which is why this article would be the first attempt to collect the information and show the important development that the program has had over the years. The results obtained highlight how the program has improved the efficiency, transparency and preservation of information in public and private entities, training high-quality technicians and technologists who contribute significantly to the sector. In addition, the actors involved in the development of archival science in Colombia are invited to contribute with data that enrich the history of the training program, promoting a greater understanding of its trajectory and future projection.
