Abstract

Authors and articles that began to study the agriculture-e-commerce relationship were identified, the structuring concepts of this topic were studied, and finally the areas of study with the greatest potential were determined. An inductive methodology was applied, using the tree metaphor, the use of bibliometric tools with the Bibliometrix software, and network analysis with the Tree of Science platform. Publications from 2000 to 2024 were considered. 1,185 Scopus documents were identified. It was found that China is the country with the highest production; Liu being the most prolific author and Li the most cited. The most relevant journals in the area are Sustainability and British Food Journal from Switzerland and the United Kingdom, respectively. The three trends with great potential for further research are: digital transformation of agricultural product marketing; Inclusive digital finance; and Farmers' purchasing behavior.
