CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BARRANQUILLA METROPOLITAN POLICE

Abstract

The article aimed to describe the Corporate Social Responsibility actions implemented by the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, considering these as the fundamental basis of the institutional philosophy, using descriptive research, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and field design. Through an interview applied to administrative and police forces of the metropolitan unit of Barranquilla Atlántico, Colombia. Resulting in the different actions carried out by this public body, such as the protection of the environment, as well as the events that could harm the ecosystem, the continuous social service campaigns for 10th and 11th grade students, the environmental training carried out in different educational establishments, the defense of childhood and adolescence, reports of computer crimes among others. All of them consummated to guarantee the social well-being that they have with citizens, and respect for the constitutional rights of freedom, equality and justice.
