Abstract
The supermarket sector is characterized by a highly competitive environment, where the optimization of operations is crucial for success. In this context, data mining emerges as a powerful tool to extract valuable information from the vast data sets generated by supermarkets. This scientific article aims to explore the potential of data mining to optimize purchases and sales in supermarkets, addressing everything from the introduction of the topic to application methodologies and relevant bibliographic references.
