Abstract
This article presents the results of the process of producing biofertilizers from Effective Microorganisms (EM) developed in five rural educational institutions in the department of La Guajira, in coordination with the Tecnoacademia program of SENA–SENNOVA. The experience focused on strengthening environmental education, introducing sustainable agricultural practices, and promoting organic school production through low-cost biofertilizers with high agroecological impact. The project enabled students to understand the importance of beneficial microorganisms, the transformation of organic waste, and the relationship between biofertilizers and soil improvement. The results show significant changes in the fertility of the educational plots, greater community participation, and knowledge appropriation.
