Abstract

The current situation that many students of the nursing degree experience in the different universities of the country, characterized by an increase in academic stress situations, has been undermining their development within the professional training process, since this reality affects through various factors psycho-emotional that are present within the complex social problem. Therefore, the general objective of the research was to make a theoretical journey through all the contributions in which it has been deepened from the society of scientific knowledge. Hence, the methodology used was under the criteria of documentary research through which a series of scientific research documents were compiled that allowed the conceptual journey of the phenomenon and through the socio-critical paradigm, discussions and analyzes of the actions were generated. Human beings that nursing students have been assuming. Among the main results, it is mentioned that the main approach to addressing the situation has been the determination of the negative aspects of academic stress, showing symptoms, causes, effects, and impacts on student performance, but there is also a way in which it is you need to dig even deeper into positive academic stress. Among the conclusions it is mentioned that there are unavoidable situations that will generate academic stress, therefore it is important that research is invested in a positive direction of academic stress.
