Abstract
The purpose of the research was to plan maintenance in the cleaning of wheat plants in the food sector in the industrial zone of the San Francisco municipality, in the state of Zulia, Venezuela. For this, a descriptive study was used with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, field design. The population was three companies in the wheat plant sector, who wanted to participate in the research, answering a questionnaire with a frequency scale, validated by experts and reliable. The results indicate that there are flaws in the planning of maintenance in the cleaning of these plants. Therefore, it is concluded that the established maintenance schedule is not fulfilled, nor with the assignment of personnel to the activities that are carried out, as a result of the conditions of the external environment that limit the resources required to meet its objectives.
