Abstract
The project “RFID Technology for Logistics” developed a functional prototype for the automatic control of goods, with the purpose of improving the learning process and labor competencies of instructors and apprentices in the areas of logistics, market and teleinformatics Of the Center of Management of Markets, Logistics and Information Technologies (CGMLT), of the regional Capital District.
For the development of the project, at first, an inventory was made to identify with which radiofrequency equipment the logistics area of ..the CGMLT had. Eight antennas and two transducers (RFID readers) were recovered, RFID is an acronym that means: automatic identification by radiofrequency. Then a check was made on the operating status of each of the elements, and once completed, a point-to-point network was configured to determine if the RF antennas and transducers communicated with the project’s central computer, Develop the prototype.
When structuring the prototype, it was started and it was verified that the antennas capture the signal of the tags (labels). Its operation was checked and the interpretation of the reading of the label was implemented to implement the database of the different products. In the execution of this project, three apprentices from the Technologist Program in Data Network Management participated, allowing them to improve their skills and expand their knowledge in wireless networks.
