Abstract
The SENA is a public establishment of a national order, which offers free training to Colombians in person and virtually at its different locations, distributed throughout the country. In one of its headquarters located in the city of Medellin, Pedregal, the Center for the Development of Habitat and Construction is located, which has an ideal and complete infrastructure, equipped with laboratories that allow all the students who go there to acquire skills for their professional development, with qualified professional personnel, with experience in various educational fields, but currently in this institution it is observed that many of these teachers lack an investigative spirit.
Therefore, this research project seeks to analyze the reasons why the teachers at the center for habitat development and construction are apathetic in relation to the research topics and only dedicate themselves to providing training in person or virtual, in addition to identifying its impact on the institution. Finally, it is proposed to carry out an improvement strategy, understanding that there is an infrastructure for this, such as laboratories, workshops and equipment, among others, that would allow research and that can help and provide solutions to many of the problems that currently has the construction area at a local, regional and national level.
