Introduction: Artificial intelligence (AI) has disrupted the sports industry, transforming how athletes train, compete, and how sports are experienced.
Objective: This study examines the impact of AI on athletic performance, team management, and spectator experience, exploring both its benefits and challenges.
Methodology: A systematic literature review was conducted, including academic articles, technical reports, and interviews with industry experts. The methods and results of various studies were analyzed to identify the main trends and applications of AI in sports.
Results: Findings reveal that AI has significantly improved the ability to analyze large volumes of data, enabling more precise customization of training, identification of performance patterns, and optimization of game strategies. Additionally, AI has enriched the spectator experience through real-time analytics tools and personalized content.
Conclusions: AI is revolutionizing sports, offering new opportunities to enhance performance, management, and spectator experience. However, addressing the ethical and social challenges associated with its implementation is crucial, such as data privacy and equitable access to these technologies.
