Abstract

The American eel (Anguilla rostrata) is a fish that inhabits freshwaters, usually close to the sea, in our Caribbean Sea. It has been published recently that in some island locations in the Caribbean Sea there is a strong overexploitation of this resource as well as the production of serious environmental damage.
