In the first place, the evaluation process begins when the author and their article comply with the previous review based on the guidelines set forth in the (Authors Guide), in the same way all the articles received will be subject to a preliminary evaluation by the members of the Editorial Committee of the magazine, who will initially determine the relevance of its publication. Manuscripts that do not meet the guidelines will be sent the article so that the author can make the adjustments based on the corresponding guidelines, in a period of time not exceeding 15 days. Once it has been established that each article meets the thematic requirements, in addition to the formal requirements indicated in the instructions for authors, all articles that have passed the first filter will be submitted for evaluation by a group of anonymous scientific peers (preferably unrelated to the institution) national and international, applying the method of (double-blind) experts in the specific topic of the article and issue a concept about the work taking into account the criteria of: originality, relevance, methodological rigor, wealth of documentary and bibliographical references, contribution to knowledge for future research and the innovative approach with which the subject is approached.

The articles together with their respective files received in the magazin are considered a confidential document.

The evaluator will issue his concept in the article evaluation format, where he will qualify each of the aspects as YES or NO, with comments, and will issue the following concepts: a. publishable without modification, b. publishable with slight modifications, c. publishable with substantial modification and d. not publishable. In addition, the evaluator, if deemed necessary, may attach observations and recommendations in additional forms or sheets.

In case there is a positive and a negative evaluation, the article will be sent to a third peer to define its status.

Evaluation time

The time between the selection of the evaluators and the acceptance or delivery of the concept takes an average of six (6) months. However, this period may be shorter or longer, depending on the availability of the reviewers and other factors that may delay or speed up the process. The magazin will only send the authors an official communication about their article, once it has a decision-making result from the evaluator.

When the evaluator issues a publishable concept with substantial modifications, the authors must make and send those corrections within eight (8) days. When the concept is publishable with slight modifications, the maximum time to make corrections and send it is four (4) days. All these times counted from the date of notice to the author.
