Abstract
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015 are tools that humanity and governments must follow to safeguard the planet from the principle of ecological sustainability and UNESCO in 2017, refers to education as a means of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, from different academic fields, holistic vision and disciplines of knowledge, by which universities are called to train professionals with sustainable capacity with an Educational perspective for Sustainable Development (ESD) to the problems that arise of the scenario bet of each professional, on the other hand, the challenge of the SDGs in the training process must be incorporated as a methodology to work on all aspects of sustainability, at the same time, the scope and implementation of these objectives and contribute humanity to be more sustainable with ecosystem services that provide information education, raw material and knowledge to develop the social system of each country. For this study, a reflection was made on the concept of sustainability from the university chair in the training of future professionals, conducting searches with the terms Sustainable development, Education, Competence.
