Resumen
Antes de 1969, el uso de CBN (nitruro de boro cúbico) era limitado y se aplicaba principalmente en el afilado de herramientas de corte. Una serie de factores han conllevado a un incremento en el interés por el uso de este superabrasivo, en particular en las áreas de rectificado de producción. Se describe los beneficios, principios de funcionamiento y factores principales que deben ser considerados al diseñar un proceso de remoción de metales que incorpore el uso de una rueda rectificadora CBN.
