Abstract
Abstract: The objective of the research is to determine the impact of integrating Information and Communication Technology (ITC) in language teaching at the “Centro de Formación Agroindustrial La Angostura – CEFA”, in Campoalegre, Huila. The research problem should be looked at from two perspectives: first, apprentices have learned English under the traditional model, they are not motivated, they have difficulty producing language; the second is derived from the academic planning, English is not required, time dedicated to English is very short and not frequent, this does not allow learners to develop their communicative competence. The type of research is action participation research, correlational, qualitative, quantitative and descriptive. In the methodology this research involved two groups of learners, a control group and an experimental group. First, a characterization of both groups was performed to determine similar characteristics; second, two evaluations were carried out, an intermediate evaluation to determine if the teaching practice was working and a final evaluation to validate the results of the intermediate evaluation. The results were satisfactory in each evaluation; the experimental group had higher results in each question in the midterm and final evaluation. In conclusion the integration of ICT in language teaching was effective.References
