Abstract
The 60 years SENA’s commemoration invited to do a retrospective of institution’s history. Is at that moment that the memory preservation was more valuable as evidence of its passage through Colombia´s history. The present article arises from an in-depth interview which narrates the memory preservation experience that has been developing Luz Marelby Giraldo, coordinator of the Caldas Regional Library. From a personal motivation for the preservation of the family album, Melby's experience in the SENA reveals the importance of the process of classification, cataloging and organization of the institutional history, a work that she has been developing since her entry to the institution and today she has a large historical archive that makes available to instructors and researchers interested in the process of training for working.References
