Resumen
La Industria 4.0 y sus tecnologías asociadas, como internet industrial de las cosas, big data y análisis de datos, fabricación aditiva o impresión 3D, robótica avanzada, realidad aumentada y virtual, computación en la nube, sistemas físicos cibernéticos, simulación y modelados, ciberseguridad, aprendizaje automatizado e inteligencia artificial y tecnología Blockchain, fábrica inteligente entre otros, están impactando las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (PYME). La adopción de tecnologías de Industria 4.0 y el desarrollo de nuevos modelos de negocio adecuados para facilitar la digitalización de los sistemas y operaciones brindan enormes oportunidades a las PYME. Estas tecnologías avanzadas permiten la integración vertical y horizontal (del proveedor al cliente) de extremo a extremo de la cadena de suministro, en tiempo real, impactando la calidad del servicio. Las PYME acortan su camino hacia el cliente al unirse a plataformas de colaboración digital y al cumplir colectivamente con las necesidades de estos. Para explotar todo el potencial de la Industria 4.0 los nuevos modelos de negocio de las PYME deberán innovar su estrategia en cuanto a la creación de valor, la captura de valor y la oferta de valor para que los beneficios de las nuevas tecnologías no se limiten a aplicaciones únicas.
