Abstract

This article presents a comparison of the functional characteristics between the conventional TIG and micro TIG welding methods in plastics tooling applications, providing guidance to the mold makers in the selection of the appropriate technology for each need, mentioning the technological principle, similarities, differences, advantages, and disadvantages, reducing time and costs.
