About the Journal

Focus and scope

Informador Técnico (Inf. tec), founded in 1982, is an online journal that publishes twice a year, with a double-blinded peer-review process and open access. It publishes research, literature reviews, and reflection papers in the fields of plastics, materials, metallurgy, hard coatings, industry, environment, technology, quality, and innovation management. This journal is edited by the National Center for Technical Assistance to Industry (Centro Nacional de Asistencia Técnica a la Industria, ASTIN) of the National Apprenticeship Service (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje, SENA) in Cali, Colombia. It is aimed at researchers, teachers, students, and entrepreneurs who find in the published articles, a tool to strengthen their research, innovation, and technological development processes, mainly in the areas of engineering and technology.

Manuscripts that meet the requirements established in the instructions for authors will be subject to a peer-review process using the double-blind procedure. This journal adopts the COPE code of ethics, it is an open-access electronic publication that does not charge for publishing and is published in semi-annual numbers

 

Item processing charges

There are no charges or fees for submitting or publishing articles.

 

Publication frequency

Informador Técnico adopts a semi-annual publication model. The reception of manuscripts is permanent.

The submission of an article is done respecting and assuming editorial policy. The corresponding author will be notified of the whole editorial process. If your manuscript is rejected, you will be notified, and the document will be returned.

Journal history

Informador Técnico was created since September 1st, 1982. It follows the guidelines of the IBN-Publindex of Colciencias for the indexing of serial publications, giving preference to articles of investigation, reflection, and revision. It is indexed in National Bibliographic Base Publindex, Colciencias and indexed in Category C (2011-2020); Indexed and registered in Amelica-Redalyc, ProQuest, REDIB, Dialnet, Latindex, EBSCO, Biblat, DOAJ, ROAD, Periódica, Biblat, Actualidad Iberoamericana, Sherpa/Romeo y Google Scholar.
