Abstract
The Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC) issued a certificate to the Quality Management System of the National Center of Technical Assistance to Industry (ASTIN SENA) under ISO 9001:2000 standard. The implementation of a quality culture in a Training Center like ASTIN is crucial since it contributes to the improvement of Technological Services and Professional Training, while assuring the timely attention and answer to customers and users' requirements. Similarly, being supported by these standards allows SENA to strength their competitiveness with factors that ontribute to social and economic development of Colombia.
