Abstract
Globalization has created complex dynamics that hinders organizational plan- ning; thereby, it is convenient to have reliable tools to reduce uncertainty about the future. This work presents a study based on Delphi methodology, structural analysis, and game of players to analyze success factors for the leather goods and footwear industry in Colombia for a five-year horizon, considering that all prospective analyses should be systemic and include interactions among the variables studied. Colombian and international experts from the leather goods and footwear industry, associations and academy were consulted, finding that personnel training, use of information and communication technology, and implementation of real organizational structures are the three key factors for the success of the leather goods and footwear industry. Using the results of the game of players, alternative scenarios were evaluated by grouping factors or eliminating those that are not dependent exclusively on the industry. No significant variations were found when factors were modified, but the study allows formulating recommendations for the development of the leather goods and footwear industry.References
